SPECIAL JUDGE

Judge Gabriel has acted as Special Judge pursuant to Chapter 151 of the Texas Civil Practice & Remedies Code.  The Special Judge conducts the trial in the same manner as a court trying a lawsuit without a jury, with the same rights of appeal.

Benefits:

  • You select the Judge

  • You select the location (not a courthouse)

  • You select the trial date

  • You retain the rights of appeal

  • You save valuable time

  • You deal directly with the Judge to accommodate you and your client

ARBITRATOR

Arbitration is a process in which a dispute is submitted to an impartial third party, the Arbitrator, who makes a decision which is binding on the parties.  The parties have the ability to mutually select an Arbitrator that they feel will be fair and impartial, as well as tuned to the areas of law at issue in their case.  Arbitration is generally considered more streamlined, less costly, and provides greater flexibility than court litigation.  Arbitration awards are binding, but generally not subject to appeal.

MEDIATOR

Mediation is a process in which parties discuss their dispute with an impartial third party, the Mediator, to assist them in reaching a settlement.  The Mediator will use his or her skills, training, and experience to help resolve the lawsuit without the parties going to trial.  This means of resolution is the most preferred by litigants in that the case will be resolved by their agreement only and not by a judge.  This process is generally considered the most economical in the resolution of litigation.
